Who we are

NYC Cleaning Help (nyccleaninghelp.com) is a referral service operated by A&C, LLC (doing business as ACMeridian). We connect people in New York City with independent local cleaners. We don't clean ourselves.

What we collect

When you send a request, we collect what you type into the form:

• your name,
• your phone number,
• your email address, if you give one,
• your neighborhood or ZIP code,
• the service you need, the kind of space, how often, and anything else you tell us.

We also record the date and time you sent it, and that you checked the consent box.

When you visit the site, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are viewed. It doesn't use cookies, and it doesn't build a profile of you. Like any website, our hosting provider also keeps basic technical logs, such as IP addresses and browser type, for security and to keep the site running.

We also use Google Analytics to see how people use the site. It uses cookies to collect usage data, such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location, and whether you send the request form or tap a phone number to call. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Google Analytics on this site has Google's advertising features turned off.

How we use it

We use your information to:

• pass your request to a local cleaner so they can contact you,
• follow up with you about your request if we need to,
• keep a record of the requests the site receives,
• protect the site from spam and abuse.

We may tell cleaners how many requests the site receives and what kinds of jobs people ask for. When we do, we don't include anyone's name or contact details.

Who we share it with

• One local cleaner. We share your request and contact details with the cleaner we pass your request to. They contact you about the job. Once they have your information, their own privacy practices apply to how they use it.
• Service providers that help us run the site, such as our hosting and email providers. They can only use your information to provide those services to us.
• When the law requires it, for example to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect someone's safety.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep requests for up to 24 months so we have a record of what the site has sent along, then we delete them. Cloudflare Web Analytics data is kept only in summary form. Google Analytics keeps detailed usage data for up to 14 months, then only in summary form.

Your choices

• Ask what we have, fix it or delete it. Email contact@nyccleaninghelp.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
• Stop calls or texts about a request. Tell the cleaner directly, or email us and we'll pass it on.
• Opt out of Google Analytics. Install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Don't want to share anything? Don't send the form. You can browse the site without giving us your name or contact details.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect the information you send us, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No website can promise perfect security.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging cleaning for their home or business. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the effective date at the top.
