Professional Organizer in NYC
Small apartment, too much stuff? A closet you're afraid to open? A kitchen where nothing has a place? Send us one quick request and we'll pass it to a local cleaner who also does professional organizing across New York City. They'll contact you, ask about the space and give you a quote.
What organizing includes
Sorting and clearing out closets, kitchens, bedrooms and storage, and setting things up so they stay organized.
- Closets. Clothes, shoes and everything piled on the top shelf.
- Kitchens. Cabinets, drawers and counters where nothing has a place.
- Bedrooms. Dressers, nightstands and the corner where things pile up.
- Storage. The hall closet, the space under the bed and the boxes you haven't opened since you moved in.
Organizing is booked separately from cleaning. If you'd like a cleaning too, say so under "Anything else we should know?" in your request.
Decluttering comes first
Most organizing starts with deciding what stays. In a New York apartment, every shelf counts, so clearing out what you don't use is often what makes room for everything else. If you have things you want hauled away or donated, ask in your request and the cleaner will tell you what they can do.
Getting ready for an organizing visit
- Pick the spaces that bother you most. One closet or the whole apartment, it's your call.
- Think about what isn't working. Can't find things? Nowhere to put things away? Too much of one thing?
- Note the size. Tell us the kind of space and roughly how big the area is.
Organizing in all five boroughs
We pass requests to a cleaner who works in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island. Tell us your neighborhood or ZIP code in the request.

Common questions
Is organizing the same as cleaning?
No. Organizing is sorting, clearing out and setting things up so they stay organized. It's booked separately from cleaning. If you need both, say so in your request.
Do you do the organizing yourselves?
No. NYC Cleaning Help is a referral service. We pass your request to an independent local cleaner who does the work. How this works
Can you help me declutter?
Yes. Sorting and clearing out is part of organizing. If you need things hauled away or donated, ask in your request and the cleaner will tell you what they can do.
Does it cost anything to send a request?
No. There's no charge to you for the connection. The cleaner quotes the job, and you decide whether to go ahead.
What should I include in my request?
Your neighborhood or ZIP code, which rooms or spaces you want organized, roughly how big they are, what isn't working and when you'd like it done.
